Daisy's Birthday Contest

Hi Friends.

Daisy posting today.

Soon it will be my birthday, and Mommy asked me what I wanted. I said I wanted my Milo to come and visit.

Mommy said that would be nice, but it would not happen. Something about the distance between Massachusetts and Italy, but I am too blonde to undertand exactly what she meant, so she showed me this map. Still not sure why that matters.
So, I said to Mommy it would be nice to make some new friends. We live in the middle of nowhere, so there are no dog parks or fun places like we see some of our blog friends going to, so we have to rely on making more blog friends.

So, for my birthday, we are going to have Daisy's Friends Forever Contest.
This is how it works. We all have lots of blog friends, and often make new friends by looking at each other's blogs. But sometimes there are so many, it's hard to pick. So to enter our contest, we want you to put a post on your blog about one of your friends or group of friends, and why they are special. We are encourging you to pick someone who is not as well know, so we can meet some new friends, but you don't have to. If you want to let us know about some special friends, that is alright too. When you make your post, please link back to our blog so anyone that wants to get in on the contest can find us. Also, please leave us a comment about your post, or drop us a pee-mail at tuckerdaisy@gmail.com. Mommy is not really technical with the computer, so she can't make a cute button, but feel free to copy the contest photo. Entries will close at noon Eastern time on May 10th, my birthday. We don't want to say that anyone's friend is nicer than someone else's friend, so soon after the 10th we will have a drawing from all the contestants to pick the winner. Mommy will then send a prize to the contest winner and their friend(s). We will also do a post to show all the entries and the friends they suggested.

Mommy says that we can't win the prize, (that's so not fair) but we want to start things off by introducing you to our friends Augie and Ti. Aren't they just the cutest Golden Boys?

They do all kinds of fun things on their blog, like dress up to help with the cooking for their Double Dog Bakery.
Have a rousing game of Stuff on Pup- Ti loves his bowl.
And have a good time dressing up for Halloween.
Augie and Ti don't have an RSS feed, so you have to check their blog once in a while, but it is always worth it.
Don't worry, Milo, they are cute, but I still love you best.

Aw, Mom

Tucker says: I love my Mommy, but she can be so absent-minded. I got this nice certificate from Gus and Waldo for participating in their Tricks for Treats contest weeks ago, just before Easter. I have been bugging her and bugging her to say thank you for it, but she kept forgetting.

Thanks Gus and Waldo, it was so much fun.

Wiggles, and other things

Thanks so much to Sammie, for giving us this nice award. She says it means: Proven, this blog has sweetness. We would like to pass it along to Paco and Milo.

Also to Momoko, and anyone else who had not received it. You are all our sweet friends.

We also wanted a chance to weigh in on this award, which many of us have received, and which has been offered to anyone who wants it. We copied it from Sammie, since she is the most recent place we saw it.

As a dedication for those who love blogging activity and love to encourage friendships through blogging. To seek the reason why we all love blogging. Put the award in one post as soon as you receive it. Don’t forget to mention the person who gives you the award. Answer the Award’s question by writing the reason why you love blogging. Tag and distribute the Award to as many people as you like.

So many people have said how much they enjoy blogging, that there are not many new things to say, but to paraphase our friend's Augie and Ti's Mom, it is to much fun to be part of a community where everyone enjoys seeing each other's adventures, and can never get too much of all these great dogs.

Finally, here is our entry for Mason Dixie's butt wiggling contest. Mommy had a lot of technical difficulties with the cameras and computer, so it's not perfect, but we hated to miss the deadline. You can see in the video Tucker's total inability to walk in a straight line.

Doggy Neglect

Thanks to her work schedule and the Massachusetts holiday Patriot's Day (Bumpass Hounds style trivial question: Do you know what Patriot's Day celebrates?), Mommy had four days off in a row this weekend. You would think that she would want to spend the whole time with us, walking and playing and cuddling.

But no, she wanted to play with her new sewing machine:

Shop for new quilting fabric:

And spend lots of time yelling at these guys who run around on the television:
Ray Allen- Hero of tonights playoff game- Go Celtics
How can she resist these faces?

What we saw on our walk today

Look these are our friends, the goats up the road.

They like me, and I like them.
After looking at the goats, Daisy thought this was a good spot to dig.
Look at my great big hole. Didn't find anything good down there.
Here's a spring glamour shot for my Milo.
I wish you could come and dig holes with me.

Belated Easter Greetings

Hello, and Happy Easter to all our friends. We are sorry we are so late, Mommy says the #%$^&*&$ Internet company was down all day yesterday.

Tucker says: Before we had Daisy, Mommy felt compelled to dress me up for Easter. One year I had to wear my human cousin's bunny ears.
Then one year Mommy took me to an Easter egg hunt and Easter bonnet competition, so she made me this stunning creation.
At least with that one I got good things inside the Easter Eggs.

Daisy says: This is for my Milo.
She is the Easter fairy.
Hope it was a great holiday for everyone.

Random stuff

Our new friend Harry tagged us with the 5 Random things about us meme, so here we go.

1. Mommy's nicknames for us are Mr. T Dog, Daisers, and Mr. Leo Catz.

2. Tucker flew on an airplane when he was 9 weeks old. He barely fit under the seat.

3. Daisy has a bad habit of chewing up Mommy's flip flops.

4. Tucker's favorite words in the whole world are "Bye bye in the car."

5. Leo lines up with the dogs at night for bedtime treats.

Now, here are some random photos, because Mommy says blogs are always more fun with pictures.

Awards from Joey

Joey kindly shared some awards that he received with us, and we are really glad he shared. Tucker shares Joey's culinary interest in flowers, so he was very happy to receive the roses.
Pink Roses are given to all friends out there, bringing them a sweet and fruitful day. Those who receive these roses as a gift, you need to pass it on to 10 friends of yours to show them you care. And of course, for those who received the roses, that's to show that you're never forgotten.

For the life is grand one we are supposed to share 5 reasons why life is grand:
1. We have a Mommy and Daddy who love us very much.
2. It's spring, and Mommy is taking us for nice long walks again.
3. We have each other to play with and have someone to hang out with when Mommy and Daddy aren't home.
4. Mommy brought cow ears home from shopping today.
5. Leo says life is grand because he has many great spots to sleep.

We have seen that many of our blog friends have already received these awards, but if you have not and would like to have them, we would be honored to share them.

We thougt we would share this picture of us as possessed alien dogs. Maybe we should send it to Sammy for the caption contest.
